Diamond Yezhuang Zhou

|Diamond Zhou joined Maynards in 2013 after receiving her Honours Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, with a focus in Art History and Theory.
Diamond has a profound interest in Chinese art and art history growing up among a family of artists and antique collectors, as well as around mainstream Chinese artists. Moving from Beijing to New York gave her not only linguistic advantages but also diverse cultural outlooks, which directed her to a focus on culture and art history. While in New York, Diamond was actively involved in many organizations including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cork Gallery in Lincoln Center.
While attending UBC, Diamond worked for her professors and the Asian Heritage Month Society as exhibition coordinator, planning and managing numerous exhibitions throughout Vancouver.
At Maynards, Diamond is responsible for Chinese client relations, Chinese painting and calligraphy appraisals. As well photography, condition reports and auction administration.
Associate Appraiser & Auctioneer
|Jason joined Maynards in 2001 and is currently an associate appraiser and auctioneer. His knowledge covers antique furniture, art, ceramics and silver. Jason is responsible for the organization and configuration of the auction floor, lotting and overseeing consignment inventory.|
Neil McAllister, CPPA
Focus: Northwest Coast and Inuit Art, Antiques, Firearms, and Canadian and International Art.
Neil joined Maynards in 1986 and currently holds the position of Senior Appraiser. His primary focus is on Northwest Coast and Inuit Art, Canadian and International Art, Antiques, and Firearms. Neil regularly performs appraisals for Insurance and Family Division for major law firms and financial institutions as well as advising various charities. He is currently a member in good standing with Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group.
Hugh Bulmer, CPPA
Vice President, Maynards Fine Art & Antiques
Focus: Asian ceramics and works of art, European furniture and ceramics, appraisal services.
Hugh Bulmer joined Maynards in 1999 after a career in the United Kingdom with a major international auction house as an appraiser, auctioneer and finally a member of the board. Hugh is the principal auctioneer for Maynards Fine Art and Antiques, and frequently serves as a guest auctioneer at charity auctions throughout the year. An all-around appraiser with specialist interest in Asian ceramics and works of art, and early European furniture and ceramics, he has been a regular expert on the Canadian and American Antiques Road Shows and is a Former Chair of the Museum of Vancouver Board.
